What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a combination of techniques including hypnosis, relaxation and visualisation used to bring about positive changes.

Hypnosis is the natural state of concentration and heightened awareness brought about by relaxation.

Yes. We all go into the state of hypnosis on a daily basis with the exception of those who are either severely mentally handicapped or those who are high on drugs or alcohol.

No. The technique, called conscious hypnosis, is a state of being very relaxed but fully aware at all times.

Yes.

Certainly not. You will be safely in control at all times.

No - clients must be over the age of eighteen.

Yes. This is an informal chat, usually on the telephone, lasting between 10 and 20 minutes and is without obligation.If it is not convenient to talk on the phone the consultation can be at my consulting room in Great Barr

Yes, for the initial consultation. However, once treatment commences it is totally exclusively confidential to the client.

Most people feel a sense of deep calm and relaxation after hypnosis.

Yes. You will be totally in control of all of your faculties.

Yes 100% .
top of pageHow many sessions will I need?
A single session is normally enough for straightforward symptoms such as smoking or minor weight control. However, for more deep seated emotional issues four to six sessions may be required.

That depends upon the course of treatment chosen.

No. As I like to guarantee 100 % confidentiality, all the therapies are carried out in my clinic at Great Barr.

I currently work between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Saturdays and have appointments at other times to suit all.

A session usually lasts for up to an hour. For smoking though allow an hour and a half.
